United States Navy LT. CMDR. Ret. David W. Dee, 71 of Jacksonville, went to his heavenly home, Monday August 7, 2017 due to Pancreatic Cancer. He was born in Coral Cables, FL on February 15, 1946. He joined the Navy at the young age of 19. He retired after 28 ½ years in the service and went on to work another 16 years Civil Services with Akima at NAS Navy Base. He loved his family with all his heart especially his wife Sandra of 49 years this November.

He joined the Navy at the young age of 19. He retired after 28 ½ years in the service and went on to work another 16 years Civil Services with Akima at NAS Navy Base. He loved his family with all his heart especially his wife Sandra of 49 years this November.



He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Ann Dee, father Maurice Dee, sister Kathy Dee Owens and his oldest son Maurice William “Billy” Dee.



Survivors include his wife Sandra Dee; oldest son (Billy’s) wife Angela Dee; Son John Dee (Kelly); and daughter Marsha Prusak (Scott). Brothers include, Timothy and Michael Dee. Grandchildren include Ashley, Riley, Chase and Hayden (Marsha and Scott) Madeline, Liberty, Faith, Lilyanna (Bill and Angela) and Gavin and Arianna (John and Kelly). Additional family and friends: Bobby, Margaret, Susie and Michael Daniels, Vernon and Betty Rhoden, William and Eomy Rhoden, Caroline and George Fulgham. Many nieces and nephews and many more friends from his time in the military and with Akima. Also leaving behind best friends, Jimmy and Ginny Williams, known for over 50 years.



The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Community Hospice for their loving care they provided for Dave. Also, want to thank Jimmy and Ginny Williams for being the best support system for Dave during this difficult time.
