Dell Hoke St. John, Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 11, 2017.

Hoke, as he was known, was a Master Locksmith owning and operating Loftin & Taylor Locksmiths & Gunsmiths until it was sold in March 1999.

Hoke was a wonderful father, adoring husband, and a great friend to many. He was predeceased by his first wife of 42 years, Joyce Ellis St. John. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Algie St. John; sons, David St. John (Yvonne), and Dan St. John (Tresha);...

Hoke was a wonderful father, adoring husband, and a great friend to many. He was predeceased by his first wife of 42 years, Joyce Ellis St. John. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Algie St. John; sons, David St. John (Yvonne), and Dan St. John (Tresha); granddaughter, Nadia Joy St. John; step-son, Bill Sauls (Sandy); step-grandsons, Stephen Sauls, David Sauls; step-granddaughter, Meredith Choez (Diego); sister, Elizabeth Ann Zabinski (Jim); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, August 15 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 16 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, followed by interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
