Sherri Stringfellow Berley (61) departed for heaven the morning of May 16th, 2017 embraced in the arms of her husband and soulmate of 36 years, Fred. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 26th, 1956 to Tommy and Margaret Stringfellow. She lived every single day with a passionate smile on her face and the heart of a champion throughout her twelve-year fight with cancer. Sherri enjoyed watching her sons play baseball, traveling, and many of life’s more simple pleasures, like sitting next to the fireplace with her family. She was a proud member of the Marching Chiefs Band at Florida State University, an Assistant Poll Captain for Duval County Elections in San Marco, a substitute teacher at Merrill Road Elementary School, but her greatest accomplishment was her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, who never took a day off. She will be missed.

Sherri is joined in heaven by her daughter, Christina Lynn Berley; father, Thomas Edgar Stringfellow (Tommy); mother, Margaret Stringfellow; and brother, Thomas Gerald Stringfellow (Jerry). She is survived by her husband, Fred Berley; her two sons, Frederick and Patrick; her three grandchildren, Taylor, Kaleigh, and Kristina; daughter-in-law, Dianna Berley; mother-in-law, Camille Berley; and countless other family members and close friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
